While I understand the reason, it still seems to me that anything in a
user folder (including the Library folder) should belong to the user.
Users shouldn't stumble over permission issues when attempting to back
up their own data. If it needs to be protected, keep it somewhere
else, not in the user's own folder.
Just my opinion.
