Hi,

You can export your gmail contacts to a standard "CSV" file, and then
import it from Address Book. The export feature in gmail is in the
contacts page, upper right hand corner.

Be careful when you are exporting your gmail contact though, because
it has options of exporting all contacts or your selective contacts.
You might want to take a look before you decide.
