And here as well. Does it non-stop, and cannot find any control
windows where to block / configure it. Also, it keeps showing some
"new" updates that have already been installed.

I'm on [regular-old] Leopard and it's been that way since day-1 (a
year? More?) for me. It always bugged me; is there a "only index 1/
day" setting or similar? I can't find anything like that.

Same here, it's been 3 weeks now and the google updater is lauching
every 40mn or so. So annoying!
Please tell us how to fix it or release an update (at least I'd type
my password for the 584th time with a reason), looks like the problem
exists since july...

I have Google Notifier and the Picasa uploader plug-in for iPhoto. A
few days ago the Google Updater started launching several times a day-
very intrusive since it asks for an administrator password each time.

I am running Snow Leopard- and have done so for over a month, yet the
problem only started this week. I haven't done anything else different

Synching Address Book with Gmail

Just installed Snow Leopard and noticed that I can now sync Address
Book with my Gmail contacts. I deleted all of my Gmail contacts and
then switched it on. This worked fine and all of my contacts appeared

Well, given that when you install Snow Leopard you are informed that
Quick Search Box "has replaced" GDS I would say that there won't be
any more updates. Who really knows though.

The title says it all... The latest version of Google Desktop plugin
for Firefox (v. 1.1) is not compatible with Firefox 3.5.2. When trying

I just installed the standalone picasa uploader. But now every day
google updater is phoning home to check for updates and whatnot, even
without any google application running. That's somewhat invasive. I
rather not have programms running in the background. How can i set
updater to update only manually or at least only when picasa-uploader
