Google Updater launches every day, several times a day... HOW DO I STOP IT?

I have Google Notifier and the Picasa uploader plug-in for iPhoto. A
few days ago the Google Updater started launching several times a day-
very intrusive since it asks for an administrator password each time.
I am running Snow Leopard- and have done so for over a month, yet the
problem only started this week. I haven't done anything else different... daha fazla »

Yeah , so this screen pops up and tells me in order to update the RSS
feed I need to login to the "area new mail" feed ... how do i
accomplish this and what steps do i take in order for the screen to
stop popping up? thanks

Can't delete google update daemon

Sorry, if this is in the wrong section.
But I installed Google Desktop and decided to delete it (I followed
the instructions from google to unistall). But every now and then,
googleupdater is accessing the internet, how do I delete this? Even

Synching Address Book with Gmail

Just installed Snow Leopard and noticed that I can now sync Address
Book with my Gmail contacts. I deleted all of my Gmail contacts and
then switched it on. This worked fine and all of my contacts appeared
in Gmail. Perfect I thought, but the next time there was a sync I got

Google Desktop Search does not work with latest Firefox version

The title says it all... The latest version of Google Desktop plugin
for Firefox (v. 1.1) is not compatible with Firefox 3.5.2. When trying
to update the browser, user is alerted of this.
Is Google planning to release a new version of the plugin, which is
part of the Google Desktop bundle?

Why does the google updater want to phone home every day?

Hello,
I just installed the standalone picasa uploader. But now every day
google updater is phoning home to check for updates and whatnot, even
without any google application running. That's somewhat invasive. I
rather not have programms running in the background. How can i set
updater to update only manually or at least only when picasa-uploader... daha fazla »

Is the source code for the Mac Google Notifier available somewhere?
I've searched high and low but can't seem to find it.
Apparently it exists - I found this snippet in an old discussion:

Google Contacts not Syncing with OS X

I have a MacBook Pro and a iPhone. I am syncing my contacts with my
iPhone via active sync. I choose the option in the address book to
sync with google but it doesn't sync. so frustrating.
